You're a bigger man than me theres no way I could be that forgiving. Personally I would take as long as possible to take it down while drumming up as much negative publicity as possible. It wouldn't work with an arrogant organisation like ebay but it would be mighty satisfying to know I was a thorn in their side. But I've got no kids or assets to lose so I guess it's easy for me to say that.

The way I see it is your domain was having exactly zero impact on their trademark and business, they are just being typical corporate bullies which makes me mad. Pretty sure trademark law isn't as clear cut as they are making out either. Wankers.

I respect ebay decision, yeah i don't see how one random site on the web would hurt their business, but I guess they have a zero tolerance policy ...

I think they search in google n hit "ebay' n see which sites are other than orignal!

Yes I live in US so obviously i quickly comply with eBay demands.
They probably just go to recently registered domains and search from there.

PherVented: What happened is that I used the word "eBay" in my domain name, apparently in copyright violation. So they requested for me to terminate use of that domain or else they would sue me for $100K.
